Our Mission
The Nipomo Native Garden provides opportunities for education, conservation, restoration, research, and recreation using plants of the Nipomo Mesa and Guadalupe Dunes complex. The plants are organized in an associative framework to illustrate plant community dynamics demonstrating the unique character and rich biological heritage of the Nipomo Mesa.
The Nipomo Native Garden is a registered 501 C.3 non-profit organization. It is managed and maintained by a group of local volunteers.
About the Garden
Located between Pomeroy, Rd., Camino Caballo, and Osage Road in the community of Nipomo, California, this special 12-acre site features trails that meander through an established oak woodland as well as areas of chaparral and open meadow.
The Nipomo Native Garden is a native botanical garden that features the plant communities native to the Nipomo Mesa and Guadalupe/Nipomo Dunes.
Information kiosks inform visitors about the garden and a dedicated area allows children to play and explore in nature.
What are the Garden hours?
The garden is open every day from dawn to dusk.
What facilities are available?
At the current time there are no restroom facilities available at the garden, so plan your visit accordingly.

Parking is available off Osage Road
